In early September I had the privilege of meeting and interviewing Winston, facilities manager of PCBS to discuss their recently installed direct evaporative cooling hybrid gas heating system.
Here is the interview in transcript format:
How did you discover the company–what problem were you looking to solve?
We have a long-standing relationship with our electrician Loupez Electrical.
Our primary concern was creating a healthy, comfortable climate to maximize productivity for staff.
What made you choose Crown Tech?
Loupez thoroughly investigated their track record, and even got a reference from Seeley International, the supplier of the Australian equipment installed.
Crown Tech is held in high regard as one of their best installers.
What have been the greatest benefits you’ve received from the company?
Firstly, we are able to operate entirely off grid!
What was also very important to us was the low annual running costs of the system.
The extensive warrantees also spoke to the confidence that both supplier and specialist offered.
How has Crown Tech and your new system helped you reach your goals–financial, cultural, even personal goals?
They have created the ideal working space for our staff: Healthy, humidified, pure air!
Moreover, there is a smart distributing of the air by temperature set point at the central programable controller.
All this whilst maintaining an average annual running cost at around 1/5th of a comparative standard air-con system!
What was it like to work with the company?
Very easy – we set the goals and Crown Tech met them, with professionalism and expedience!
What is an example of how the company went “the extra mile” to serve you?
In early stages of teething matters, their turn-around time in getting a team to site was never more than 1 business day.
Even when ascertaining that other contractors had interfered with the system, Crown Tech rectified the issues, on the spot.
If so, why would you recommend Crown Tech to someone else?
They tailored a smart system according to our exact needs, with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail, which ultimately lead to a low cost of ownership in the long run.
